I keep scorpions and tarantulas, a couple anyway. Used to be many 30+ species each. I used to spend a lot of time on some of the invert boards and they had caresheets. They were super handy when considering a new bug or in this case a fish. I'm wondering if caresheets on this site would be a good tool for people to look at and find the info they need for proper care of fish before they go and buy them. I'm about to look into a Jack Dempsey and realized I will be doing some searches about the care requirements, tank mates, temps food etc.. Just an idea.

We had started something similar when we were on the old forum archive. Not care sheets specifically, but a profile write up. We don't have them for all species as this would take a lot of time and experience, but some do have write ups.

Here's an example. www.oscarfish.com/other-fish-articles/16...ens-sp-goldsaum.html

It's a fantastic idea. Just one that is difficult to implement without regurgitating information readily available all over the place. What we were trying to do with the species profiles was give our real world experiences. I would still like to expand upon it when the time can be found.

Real world experiences is what its all about. When you do a google search you find a bunch of conflicting info. Tonite I will be doing a search on what my next cichlid is going to be based experience here and what fits into a 55 comfortably :-)
