This is the second year in a row my oscars are breeding they just started up again the beginning of March.
He gave her a little rest for a few months over the winter.
So far I have only 4 fry that survived from last year.
I successfully get them out of the tank and into a smaller one.
But feeding them is the issue. From dissolving hard boiled egg yolk to tiny fry food the water gets polluted very quickly.
Do I need to do daily water changes? Anyone have a better system that I could try?
I woulkd really appreciate the feedback!

Thank you,

Sam

got the pic working thats the beautiful female :)

Decspsled Artemia and a very high quality Flake. For the breeder tank 1 or 2 britlse nose plecos for left overs.
And yes regular WC. I would do like 1/4 daily depending on tank size.

Ok I will give that a try thank you. I just got the Decapsulated 8oz Brine Shrimp Eggs Dry Non Hatching you on Ebay.
High quality flake I already have. Pleco I will pick up at the aquarium center tomorrow. And the waster changes I will
keep up on. Should I use water from the large tank for the breeder tank water changes or use tap water. I do use prime when I do water changes for the large tank.

Always tap water. Of course you could connect breeder and parent tanks like it is possible to keep fry in an big enough sump or refugium but if you keep water changes up you will be fine.
