He should at least ride a fully grown Dovii in a neon colour banana hammock and jump with it through burning rings, if not i will be a bit disappointed :tounge:

How about some of the first pics and video of a new member of the heros group? This is Heros sp. Inirida fresh from the Rio Inirida. The first pic is just out of the bag in acclimation . The vid of how he looks this morning. He is iridescent green and blue . When exited his whole head turns deep blue and the fins go red. These are the very first collected at this location on the Inirida. These fish are as yet un described by science. Better pics as they get more colored up in days to come.

Beyond Awesome Bassetman. Major score.

Be sure to keep us informed as to the progress. Looking forward to the updated pics. He's looking quite acclimated already.

I wanted to post a couple of pics of the Rio Inirida to give folks an idea of how a fish such as this can still be discovered. How many fish collectors are going to try and force their way up water falls and water current like this.... to get to the remote areas of the river? The Rio Inirida is a very wild river.

When you look at these pics..... makes it easy to understand how a new species of fish can still be found..... and why Bassetmans latest score is so RARE!

Currently this could be said to be the rarest severum in the hobby.

Did I read on here somewhere you go out and collect fish by hand? Or was this purchased?

I have gone collecting. My weapon of choice? A 5wt. Fly rod and a bead head price nymph. Works great of all the Parachromis for sure. This fish was collected using secret agents similar to the Bourne series. :roflmao:
